Clarkstown is located in Rockland County, NY.  It is located just 25 miles north of New York City.
Clarkstown is home to lakes, parks, a wonderful school system, countless businesses.

Our History goes all the way back to 1791.  George Washington was President then.  However,
prior to Rockland County being formed, Clarkstown was part of Orange County.  Rockland County was
not created until 1798.

Clarkstown’s thriving community atmosphere includes Libraries, Emergency Services, Beautification Programs, Parks’s and Sanitation Commissions, Planning Boards, Traffic Safety, and Zoning Boards just to name a few.

Clarkstown was first a Town in Orange County before it became a Town in Rockland County, and was formed in 1798.  Our government seat is New City (which also governs all of Rockland County)

* We are approx. 41 square miles and 25 miles from midtown manhattan.

* Rockland Lake is part of the Town of Clarkstown.  We have an extensive park system and we continue to acquire lands through the open space program.

We are within close communting distance to The Tappan Zee Bridge. You will have an easy commute to New York City. On my web site I even have a link to our local COACH BUS showing you the schedule and the placesthe bus stops. The Coach Bus comes right into our development. I see my neighbors getting on and off each day.

We have lived in The Hamlets almost 10 years now. If youre looking for a realtor who really knows their way around this development, may I humbly say ‘its me. We live in the Knolls East Section. My neighbors tell me Im known as the ‘flower lady because we live on the corner and one of my passions is gardening. I spend a small fortune every spring/summer to make a blaze of color on Wedgewood Drive.

What you need to know is that there are five different developments inside The Hamlets. They are Treetops, Timberline, Vista, Knolls East, and Eagle Ridge. They each have their own pool andare all very distinctive. There are two tennis courts, and its always easy to find an empty court here. There is a community building which can be rented out for special occasions, and its also where we all vote.

We are very community minded here, friendly (but not overly so) and pets are allowed.
